A personal favorite specifically for robots/androids is bloatware inflation.
Another suggestion I have is specifically potion mishaps resulting in expansion, since it has a ton of flexibility

For androids I enjoy the maintenance aspect i think. I like when a robot girl needs assistance to continue living both In like a kink/control way and also just as like a metaphor for various things that could cause an actual human to need companionship. Open her up look at her insides.

I think email forwards and Facebook posts like the Marine Todd thing have done a great disservice to the way people view the military by portraying them as vicious terrorist androids just itching for excuses to hurt and kill civilians.

Another thing I didn't remember was that they got Lance Henriksen to play Markus's owner and I find it very poetic that the best sinthetic of the Alien franchise, it's the one that "raised" the most human of androids!
