We made some great connections with people here in Cascadia. Many people just don’t even know what anarchism is. They asked a lot of questions and many assumed it was Marxist Leninist ideology. They assume anarchists are Bolshevik sympathizers. Many do not know working class history.

I’d also say Ursula K LeGuin offers a really good anarchistic vision in the Dispossessed that at once both an anarchistic utopia and also recognizing the flaws of anarchism (as there is with all human systems).

This is a critique that can be applied to other kinds of political social organizations, but what I’m thinking of here are the big orgs that claim joining them will help do something incredibly massive and general. DSA, SRA, Black Rose, etc. Join them to “advance” socialism/anarchism/etc.

I think a lot of people just wanted to "beat fascism forever" but the price of liberty and human dignity is eternal vigilance. No incorruptible system immune to the impacts of bad actors exists, or indeed can possibly exist
