Day 7 - Alucard

A digital art depicting dhampir Adrian Farhenheit Tepes, also known as Alucard, son of Dracula, the prince of darkness, laying beneath the earth in his coffin, not dead but simply in a deep, centuries long slumber, isolating himself from humanity, holding a sword in his right hand, symbolising his willingness to wake up once again whenever there once again will be no-one else to stand up against his father's terror, yet crying out a single long tear, lamenting his own eternal solitude, the loss of his innocent mother, the downfall of his broken father, and the unfulfilled yearnings for love and connection which he was destined to start and comprehand but never go through with, due to his own self-imposed duty of ridding the world of the cursed blood that tuns through his veins, even if it may force him into eternal desolation. The fact of his coffin being in athe ground instead of a more usual for him gothic hall or crypt is also intended to be a reference to a monologue from Alucard's perspective that i have recently heard, in which he wishes to dig himself a grave in the black soil to bury himself in it, though i cannot seem to find the source of it or a reference to it anywhere. My best suspicion would be the 2008 japanese radio drama Akumajō Dracula X: Tsuioku no Yasōkyoku/Demon Castle Dracula X: Nocturne of Recollection.

So i'm taking a small break from Akumajoctober for now till both situations get at least somewhat resolved

Day 9 - Christopher/Soleil

Both are crying, with Soleil having a look of horror on his face as he realized what he has done, even if unknowingly, and Christopher frowning, his heart aching for what he had to do to his own son just now, and determined to enact his revenge on the monster who caused all of this. The light from a stained glass window behind Christopher forms a halo around his head, signifying his holiness and virtue in that moment.

Day 21 - Stella/Loretta

A digital art depicting a metapjorical card game, where Brauner, the old vampire painter, reaches with his decrepid, cold, blood covered hand to the card with Stella and Loretta, twin sisters who's father Brauner killed, before brainwashing the two into his submission in the role of adoptive daughters, to replace his own kids whom he lost in a World War, while hand of the spirit of their real, killed father trembles, unable to do anything to stop it. There are also two other cards under the one with the twins, depicting the 2 main heroes of the game where they all came from: Charlotte and Jonathan, along with moreso obscured depictions of the 2 main villains, mirroring them.

Day 15 - Shanoa/Albus

A digital art depicting Shanoa and Albus, two members of the Order of Ecclesia, with the former being an amnesiac sent on a suicidal mission by the treacherous leader of the order - Barlowe, to reclaim the 3 Dominus Glyphs - Anger, Hatred and Agony, in order to perform a ritual to ressurect the Dark Lord, and the later a rogue member of the order who escaped after learning of the evil plan, tried to hide the 3 glyphs away, got killed by his brainwashed friend and lingered on as a spirit, sharing a final moment together after Shanoa activated Dominus after a fruitless attempt to defeat the king of vampires, which in theory should have shattered her soul, but Albus, as he always did for Shanoa, put himself in harms way to protect her, sacrificing his soul instead and withering away on her very eyes as they stay right in the center of the devastating magical explosion. Shanoa, lacking almost all emotions after becoming an amnesiac, finally remembered everything and now cries, smiling, and embracing the final moment she shares with her closest and truest friend and defender, all while the visage of the Dark Lord himself screams out in agony, dying once more after massively underestimating his opponent(s).

Day 14 - Nathan/Hugh

Nathan is depicted falling with a determined look on his face, as if diving head first into the danger ahead of the duo, while Hugh, most definetly caught off guard by the sudden fall, is flapping his arms around and screaming, yet to regain his balance and providing a slight comedic note to the art (no disrespect to Hugh though, of course, he is a great character).

Day 6 - Sypha/Grant

A digital art depicting a sort of split yet whole scene with Grant Danesti, a romanian commoner whom tried to defeat the Dark Lord along with his comrades, but was cursed to be a terrible monster locked in an old clocktower, and Sypha Belnades, a mage from a clan of oral tradition sorcerers, who was also sent to fight the Dark Lord, but was petrified into a statue and guarded by a cyclops in a darl, mad forest. Both were eventually freed from their curses by Trevor Belmont, who with their (and the Dark Lord's son as well), defeated the dreaded prince of darkness, freeing the land from his conquest. The backgrounds behind the 2 characters depict their curses (being turned into a monster and a statue respectively), as well as the locations where they were left after it (the clock tower and mad forest respectively). Grant hangs upside down from a rope, both showing off his atletism and separating the scene into two halves, to show the contrast between the two allies.

Day 3 - Sara/Rinaldo

Sara's face is stuck in an empty, strucken expression as her soul leaves her body, while Rinaldo's is full of sorrow, lamenting the loss of yet another innocent life, parallel to how he lost his, as he is standing below Sara, being ready to catch her from her last fall.

Day 19 - John/Eric
