For the Seattle Comp Plan update, @AIAseattle started with some common ground principles. From these flow real options that embrace the transformational challenge we have over the next twenty years.

@AIASeattle says we should
1)Extend temp DR exemption to all housing
2)Increase SDR threshld from 8-10K SF
3)Exempt deep green projects from DR
4)Eliminate DR req' for SF lots upzoned under MHA
5) if building AH under MHA, no DR.

@AIASeattle @CMTMosqueda @CMLGonzalez @D5Juarez @SeattleOPCD for the upcoming #RSJI analysis, people say they’d accept more housing along arterials. Here is a rough illustration of why that strategy alone furthers enviro inequity:
Why does ‘hub and spoke’ model of infill zoning perpetuate housing inequality? 1) households along line bear maximum environmental impact, and 2) it insulates SF zones from impacts or change.

We have to open housing opportunities all around transit not just narrowly along it.
