4/ As a longtime champion of climate policy and former banker, Carney should know better than to double down on fossil fuels: it’s a risky investment.

Fossil fuels are losing market share. A recent report finds that renewables are filling 100% of the growth in electricity demand.

The market cuts through the political posturing, Republican rhetoric and Trump tirades in the U.S. Clean tech companies are just better investments than fossil fuels today. Why? Could it be - going out on a limb here (not) - because they are the FUTURE?

Subsidy-through-deregulation is no longer as effective as it might have been for the fossil fuel industry. And I think that helps explain a lot of the Trump administration's energy/environmental policy agenda.
