Chega secures first Portuguese mayoralties
Portugal’s far-right Chega won its first mayoral seats in municipal elections, taking control of São Vicente (Madeira), Entroncamento and Albufeira, securing three city halls.
Centre right wins Lisbon, Porto
Carlos Moedas won reelection as mayor of Lisbon with 42% of the vote, giving the centre‑right a victory that also captured Porto in municipal elections.
