I've been thinking about how I'm gonna be turning 30 in a couple of days. It's apparently some sort of milestone, but I dont really feel like it is. It just feels the same as any other birthday, which over time are all starting to just feel like any other normal day. I think this is like, the real middle age. Im told quite frequently by people that I am still young, but then the younger generation acts as if being 17 is old. I dont really feel either, though - that is to say, I feel neither old nor young. Everything is zooming at a snail's pace, or crawling along at breakneck speeds. Everything is happening all the time, and also it is not. I spend too long recovering from the toils and troubles of being a working American, and I miss out on hobbies and events. I miss travel. I miss friends... Happy birthday, I suppose!

Paterson held a press conference Monday with grocery store CEO and radio station owner John Catsimatidis, among others. They said Mamdani is too inexperienced and has said too many offensive things, especially as it relates to the Jewish community, to run the city. Paterson and others also expressed concerns that Mamdani’s policies, like freezing rent-controlled apartments, publicly owned grocery stores, and alternative policing strategies, would be a disaster for New York City.
