ROCAF's F-16V used AAQ-33 to track J-16, the image below isn't a fire control system lock. One could possibly derive from this that the PLAN J-15 might not have similar advanced tracking optics; also, documented risky dangerous flying maneuvers suggest locking is used as a "warning".

I firmly believe AI/LLM exist to allow talent wannabes to feel they have "talents".

Rubio?
"The remarks mark a reversal from earlier this year, when the Trump administration said it would "aggressively revoke" Chinese student visas amid espionage concerns. In August, Trump changed course and announced plans to expand the program dramatically."

Apparently, the ship is sinking, but we don't know why, we just keep running it the way they were taught how to run it 26 years ago.

Speaking of leadership, one must dehumanize workplace interactions, and to always have "control" at all times, we are not even talking about transactional leadership. It's a fucking joke.

Maybe I'm going crazy, but the only thing that's keeping me from losing it, is hope, and pray that Ukraine would eventually prevail.

The alleged interval payload capacity of J-36 and J-50 showed up on social media, I am not sure if the PLAAF has actually a functional air doctrine, they have a reputation for firepower insecurity. I still believe the J-50 is more like a "command-bomber" rather than a 6th gen superiority fighter.

No matter how I read it, it looks like Hegseth organized an event to demand a personal loyalty pledge from the generals and chickened out at the last minute, then decided to give it a speech instead.

I'm so shocked to discover how little Phillips P. OBrian understands warfare. This post is so wrong on so many levels. These "history was XYZ, hence ZYX" logic just never gets old innit?

Excuse me, we would have MQ-9 shooting AGM-114 Hellfire missile at UFO/UAP, but we don't want to shoot down Russian jets? What's more crazy, ballsy enough to fire upon interstellar intelligence or allowing Putin continue to humiliate the alliance?

When you don't know terms like "solidarity" or "unity", you resort to the Soviet lingo "United Front"?

"Strait Thunder-2025A" around Taiwan:

1. 控能源通道 (control energy routes.
2. 斷補給要道 Cut off key supply routes.
3. 堵疏泊暗道 (horrible new speak btw) Blocking stealthy ship/anchor ports.

This means the PLA's potential strategy involves more than just a blockade.

Boeing did a technology demonstration with the YF-118G using COTS back in the 90s. One of the reasons Boeing's F-47 might have been selected is due to cost, $300M a piece might not fit into USAF's budget envelope, and they might want to have 300+ Also, possible canards are used to allow more lift.

Over the past two decades, the PLA focused mainly on producing/developing fighters, flankers, carrier based capabilities; they don't have anything similar to B-1, B-2, or B-21; so this is a quick hotfix to meet the shortage of modern bombers.
December 26, 2024 at 9:13 PM
Notice the PLAAF's bomber fleet is extremely old; the JH/XX's design doesn't suggest it's a long-range strategic bomber; 5th gen JH fighter bomber might be a quick way to boost their existing bombing capabilities w/o extensive R&D(theft), their current priority is to plan ops rel to Taiwan.
