How do you stop Russia’s desire to geographically expand without any respect of international laws and at the same time threatening using its nuclear power? No easy answer I guess with China and USA not willing to apply pressure.

La France idéale selon certains ressemble à la France d’Asterix. C’est à dire: retour en arrière toute pour éviter tout émission de CO2.

European cars are now great alternatives.

Les français ne font pas face. Ils mettent la tête dans le sable.

That’s a lot !! Unless you can charge at home there are zero financial incentives anymore.

It comes a year after introducing a yearly tax on Electric cars. So that’s £500 a year for somebody that drives 10k miles a year. Plus the London congestion charge will start to apply to EVs. So in a two years we had 3 new taxes on EV.

VAT receipt is higher on electric cars and paid upfront (i.e good for government cash flow) because EV are way more expensive.

Big news for Mistral. Well done.

Blair wanted to do it but moved back. Wisdom would be to refrain from doing this again. And don’t we already have NI numbers and UTR as “Id”?

Les politiques pro-russes français (ils se connaissent) sont des traitres à la Nation.

Clearly they need to think about getting $ when fuel taxes receipt will go lower from EV adoption. Can’t do this via electricity bills for home charging (but could with public charging). Ultimately this will be via devices in the car but that will take few more years.

Why public money?

Agreed. Putin will use this as an excuse to carry on with war but there is no other option than to confront him

I bet the roads will still be as crap as they are today even with increased taxes.

It’s France sir. Nothing is easy or straightforward there.

I love my EV. Been driving one for 5 years. I charge at home. I don’t travel long distance. Perfect use case for me. BUT what the government does is just easy money grabbing knowing they won’t get much push back vs. Increasing petrol taxes.

Yes. And that as well.

Just like with the VAT on private schools Labour have made a half baked move. If they want to reduce immigration then they need to make sure ‘native’ citizen will take those low paid jobs. Not going to happen.
