Not at all. Im just drawing the contrast that stopping a Reform govt is my main priority and I’d vote any way to stop it.

You know that won’t happen.
November 30, 2025 at 9:33 PM
Depends how seriously you take fascism, I guess.
November 30, 2025 at 9:33 PM
Not what I asked.
November 30, 2025 at 9:30 PM
But Scexit isn’t going to happen, is it? So we’re talking status quo SNP or far right Reform one. It requires a moral stand, not some tribal gripe.
November 30, 2025 at 9:28 PM
You think they’ll all be a three way split? If polling showed a seat was going to either SNP or Reform, with no other party close, how would you vote?
November 30, 2025 at 9:26 PM
That‘s a stretch. Arguing that the SNP are as bad as Reform is silly, and highly counterproductive, in my view. But my primary concern is opposing Reform, so I guess we‘re at odds on that.
November 30, 2025 at 9:24 PM
Fair enough. If the constituency vote is close in my area, I’ll vote for whichever main party is most likely to beat Reform.
November 30, 2025 at 9:16 PM
Not sure what that means, in practice.
November 30, 2025 at 9:10 PM
Well there’s no possibility of that either, so it all feels fairly academic when fascists are at the gates.

The independence debate is only really relevant to the next Scottish Parliament elections if the UKG decide to accept an SNP win as grounds for a referendum. They won’t, so we’ll probably end up where we are now - a political landscape where the independence debate is a theoretical side issue.
November 30, 2025 at 8:06 PM
The next time - if there is one - will be so far in the future that it feels like a moribund issue, IMO.
November 30, 2025 at 7:46 PM
I suspect you’re looking for a debate that I - a consistent switherer on the topic, currently leaning to the No side - can’t provide
November 30, 2025 at 7:40 PM
The EU point wasn’t me.
November 30, 2025 at 7:35 PM
Not sure the first two of these contain any threat, and Sillars is just a crank. But I appreciate your sharing them - I remember worryingly little about that campaign!!
November 30, 2025 at 7:29 PM
What were the threats? Genuinely cant remember that story.
November 30, 2025 at 6:52 PM
I wonder how it will work in terms of elections and the proposition that they could be in government.
November 30, 2025 at 3:01 PM
It’s a dreadful idea.
November 30, 2025 at 12:40 PM
I have no sympathy. She seems impossible
November 29, 2025 at 4:12 PM
Do you really only see removing a policy that turbo-charges child poverty as ‘appeasing Labour MPs’?
November 27, 2025 at 3:42 PM
Not really.
