Hello! It's David. I live in Seattle and I've worked at Archie McPhee for 30 years. I write all the copy and work on the creative team developing products. I love hanging out with my wife and crows and researching weird topics. Special interests include cults, historical copywriting and psychology.

In other northern border tension news: the Rubber Duck Museum in Point Roberts, WA (a US exclave attached to BC) is moving to Canada.

Blame tariffs.

Our new neighbors threw their takeout containers in the trash, and the raccoons dug in and got the good bits. The squirrels had a feast for days on what was left. When they rolled the can to the curb, the alpha squirrel turned aggressive and tried to stop the garbage men from taking its pantry away.

Watching TikToks where, people realize that not only are they responsible for the tariffs and duty on what they ordered from China, not the company that sent it, but also that it's not a 10% tariff. It's 10% more! So, if you order clothes, it will be a 25% charge.
