yeah when I was doing my degree i came to the grim conclusion that the most secure career options would be jobbing at an advertising firm or doing visualisations or kids' shows or uninteresting popular naff. i wanted to do my own thing... but that's HARD and has no security unless you're a nepo baby

honestly i was just making an assumption, i haven't checked job listings. are there positions in non-games industries like advertising?

I'm in Brisbane; not an abundance of stuff but not nothing and remote work is an option

this is motivated both by a need to earn more money and because i want to get better and make good stuff but I'm a slacker when I'm lacking external pressure or obligation... 😭 ughh my futuure

i got my degree in 2021 and I've had a few odd jobs but I've never landed a solid gig where i could get a lot of stuff done and get feedback from senior industry art people
