I feel like Quirks lack this sense of universal mechanics where it draws me into the world. Nen typing tests, Mob Psycho psychic powers, even Chakra has these fundamentals that give me a sense of world building that quirks go into each person’s individual powers but doesn’t work as a coherent whole?

It’s fun but [Insert American State or City] Smash / Ability kinda like, didn’t hit for me at a conceptual level even if the animations were cool haha. Or then getting most powers and overscaling everyone to then give up your powers at the end. Rasengan’s path to power felt more natural?

I also like One Piece but am not in love with it. I think it’s fine but not GOATed for me. It suffers from its pacing anime wise. Manga wise it reads better and is fun, has lots of layers. I get why people love it, but I find myself decently apathetic to it. It’s decent, got a little better Elbaf.
