Depends on what you mean by "like transformers" like just featuring transforming robots or more on the story / tone side of things? (Which even in tf can vary alot)

I thinkt he only movie from college I ever watched more than the one tome I needed to was Citizen Kane because my parents were interested.

i like the idea of him being a springer style triple changer like the movies
and like the movies dont try and make it be an earth helicopter, let the car be earthy and the helicopter be a fucked up janky alien thing

I think its less the height / with itself and more just the proportions within those dimensions that make him look wider than the g1 versions(s) cause accounting for the splayed out arms hes not all that different
