That jackal from Jersey. Sometimes a coyote.
I don't even like home automation or anything of the sort. The fanciest I get is hue lights, and even those - I need a physical switch.

I utterly LOATHE having "apps" and digital tools needed for stuff. I don't even trust the auto headlights in my car, I'm basically a troglodyte.

Is it Sotalo? It sounds like either Sotalo or Dashing. (I'm very much of the "name and shame" mentality XD)

Damn, this is *crazy* hot! o.o;

.. Freaking of course. Man, these people are like a yeast infection for the fandom. Gross, vile, and prone to showing up in every unwashed crevice if allowed.

Leaving is the best option.

It never ceases to amaze me how the people who tend to run most "big" furry chats / organize meets, tend to be the most tone-deaf "well, they're nice to ME!" motherfuckers on the planet. And I'm sick of it.

Been dealing with folks like Shy and his nonsense for years now up here. Same crowd.

People who are still on there after the myriad of evidence of why they shouldn't be will only listen when things actually affect them, because they're selfish fucks. So give them something that affects them. It's the only language folks like that understand: personal consequence.

Want to monitor temperatures? Sure! Just set up a bunch of fiddly things, make an alert where you dig through a list of 10k different sensors and hope you picked the right one. Now you get to fuck around with syntax for the next hour.

This stuff should be kept simple =(

This is the answer. I back in often because I drive a small sedan, and it's literally impossible to see around the house sized SUVs that aways park nearby. Essentially backing out blind for the first 4 feet and hoping you don't hear a honk / crunch. It sucks. I have no rear camera.

Journeyman Project was one of the best and most memorable series growing up. Stellar game / puzzle design, great storytelling for its time, and one of the best time travel games out there. JP2: BIT was my fav, followed by Legacy.

(If we're talking about the same soundtrack / franchise >.>)

Yeah I played a bunch around covid too. Made it to the center of the galaxy, took a bunch of pretty photos. Then realized that 90% of the game was basically work (grinding, jumping 500 times).

It's a really pretty wallpaper generator, I guess.

In lightly flavored things like chicken soup, etc - I think it would either get lost or wouldn't do much. It tends to work best in hearty stews, soups, or anything else with a rich body.

I tend to see it sort of like MSG. You're not really going to notice the flavor itself much, just the undertone

Depends on the dish! Like, homemade marinara sauce is fairly flavorful (onion, garlic, spices) - but the addition of 2-3 bay leaves to the sauce can really give it that "almost tastes like meat sauce" vibe, I think. Sort of like how MSG can make things taste more 'intense'.

Bay leaves (fresh ones at least, quality matters) add basically an umami background to a dish. They have a subtle, eucalyptus / mint flavor and pair very well with anything "meaty"

Lately I just go full boomer like my parents did every time I get a computer when calling into a company.

"Hello, please listen to the fo.."
"OPERATOR. OPERATOR. GIVE ME AN OPERATOR. PERSON. HUMAN. BILLING. SUPPORT. ANYTHING"
"We are unable to understand your request, here's a person"
"Thanks"

Oh yeah I saw that pop up in my feed the other day, I'll have to give it a watch.

I'm also not really a fan of Babbish for a long time either for similar reasons (although he seems like less of a chud and more of a CoNtEnT CrEaToR instead of making interesting / easy dishes.
