If you want to watch a modern anime that is the complete opposite of that, try Gnosia. It’s an experiment sci-fi show that’s basically Among Us but with real characters and everyone dressed like they’re at a space alien rave. I love it so much.

I do have friends who do art, I just know they’re very busy and I have a hard time making new connections. And exciting! I will have to give it a try!

Thank you! I’m not much of an artist, so I figured I should do what I can, which is writing. And Unbeatable is on my wishlist, so I hope to check it out soon when I can. (Though I am bad at PC rhythm games because I’m so used to touchscreens.)

That sucks! I know the feeling, as I’ve actually started trying to make games myself and have only gotten as far as making fully text based games because I do not have much money. I hope things work out for you!

Ooh, I literally just discovered your work because you liked my post about Videoverse, but I love the MC’s design! I need more characters with freckles. How’s the game been coming along?

Back in Covid times I watched a weird OVA called Galactic Pirates Cat’s Feast, but apparently it has an English Wikipedia article so it can’t be that obscure. But no one I know has ever talked about it.

The final one today is Videoverse by @kinmoku.bsky.social! Speaking of Internet sims, this is a Miiverse sim where you experience being a teen on the Internet for the first time. You can report trolls…or feed them. It has gorgeous retro style and I love Violet. store.steampowered.com/app/2079180/...

Next up is Hypnospace Outlaw by @jaytholen.net! I love this game so much. It’s a 90s’ Internet simulator with an incredibly unique aesthetic. You learn about characters’ lives through their webpages and there’s also a deeper mystery. I miss Dreamsettler :(. store.steampowered.com/app/844590/H...

As promised, three more indie games today!

First off is Darkside Detective by @spookydoorway.bsky.social
It’s a really charming old school point and click. The two leads have great banter. You do have to use some cartoon logic, but the mysteries are fun. store.steampowered.com/app/368390/T...

A friend was showing me this game and I already found the story incredibly boring before we even got to this part. As someone who is currently writing a story that is very antithetical to the message that is described here, I am glad that we did not continue, as it seems that I would dislike it more

And the final one for today is Paradise Killer by @kaizengameworks.com!

It’s an incredibly unique open world mystery game where you actually explore and do a bit of parkour to find evidence. Also the character designs are some of the best I’ve seen ever.

Funnily enough, in most games I wish I could skip the combat to get to the narrative.

I’m in a similar situation to you where I’m stuck in a job that I hate, pays me like shit, and is detrimental to my health. If I got that pop-up I would not be happy. My friends are great and very supportive. I just need jobs to stop ghosting me.
