I have a few pop cultural blindspots (my fiance thinks it's crazy that I've never seen Star Wars until recently) and I don't really know anything about Ariana Grande or have any sort of ire towards her, but every time I see her in an interview she looks like this and that's really funny to me

I'm a big fan of sci-fi settings that contain a diversity of aliens that coexist and work together despite being outwardly different or incompatible

social hubs should be big and complex and designed to accommodate creatures from many different biomes, they wouldn't just be an airport in space

Nuru's species comes from a world that is very hot and dry and still. they usually look like this, they just sort of stand around and get bombarded with radiation forever.

when Nuru escaped and got infected, their dessicated organs flooded with extradimensional ichor and they became something else.

that Third Formless Jhana SMT meme kinda stuck with me and it inspired this scenario I had in mind

I tried drawing the endless desert once (I have a very specific idea for what it looks like) but I'm not really good at large scale landscapes yet
screenshot of a series of discord messages that read: Bongwater gets tasked with delivering a burger to a monk at the end of an endless desert. this task is technically impossible so Da Boss sends Bibu with her to make sure it gets done it's a gruelling journey that relies on Weird Time Shit™ to even be possible and the whole time there's awful tension between the two of them (Bibu is infatuated with Bongwater but Bongwater isn't interested) they make it to the destination and Bongwater is so exhausted and bored that she just hands the delivery off to Bibu and commits seppuku (to respawn back at the restaurant) Bibu's kind of upset by this and gives the delivery to the monk, who's like one of those Sokushinbutsu that preserve themselves by eating specific things and praying he sort of crackles and wakes up and gives a speech on the nature of desire and how ridding yourself if the path to enlightenment and then asks Bibu what weighs on her so heavily, and she just sort of stares at Bongwater's corpse a few meters away and absentmindedly says "oh....nothing...." and the monk gets really animated and starts talking about how remarkable it is to see such a lowly soul rid their minds of all burdens and that he can finally face DEINCARNATION and he bursts into flames Bibu's attention gets pulled over to the monk and she says "well, I mean, there's this girl I like...." and the monk goes NO WHAT HAVE YOU DONE and the flames turn purple and oily black insect limbs unfurl out of the ground underneath him and he gets pulled apart and the parts all get thrown into different tiny trypophobia-inducing portals and then Bibu's just standing there holding a burger like O_O the camera zooms out and she turns around and walks back home scene
