Today would have been my brother’s 65th birthday. He died more than 40 years ago and I still miss him every day. He made the world a better place just by being in it and you do too. I’m sorry if no one has ever told you that before, but I’m telling you now.

You don’t always get the family you need. But the good thing is, your family doesn’t have to be the people you are biologically related to. Spending the holidays with friends or even random strangers is better than with people who get you down. Is there a community meal in your area?

I read that it’s traditional for the Mayor of NYC to meet with the President. I doubt that he’s looking forward to it.

I showed Breakfast at Tiffany’s at a senior citizens movie night (without having seen it first), and Mickey Rooney’s portrayal of an Asian man was so cringy I wanted to crawl under the table.

One of my most memorable movie experiences. The theater had just opened and hubby and I were the only people in it. It took a few years to get to the US, it was ‘84 I think. And they changed the title to Road Warrior since the first movie was a flop here.

Terrible people can still create great art. But my personal rule is not to put money in the pockets of despicable people. So I would buy a Michael Jackson record, because he’s no longer around to profit from it, but I wouldn’t buy a Gary Glitter record as that POS is still alive.

He is our best chance of finally getting Collins out. You don’t vote for the best candidate, you vote for the one who can beat the worst candidate.
