I’ll be on the Erie tribs in PA as often as I can over the next month. The week of Christmas is looking prime. I’m just hoping we can get some rain mixed in with the snowfall. Get the fish moving a bit. I’d love to get up to Salmon River but it may be out of reach until mid January.

I’m 100% with you on the estaz. I had one of the best fishing days of my life in NY this fall blue and chartreuse estaz eggs.

I’ve been following the ways of Master Jeff Blood and have switched over to fluoro for my terminal tippet. I do end up using size 14-16 fulling mill 5067’s for eggs. I will give this knot a try and test it out for steelhead in the next few weeks. I like the smaller hooks for trout red imitations.

I’m curious about the larger tippet diameters with the typically smaller hook eyes on fly hooks.
