Secure Messaging protects sources against network adversaries by making their communication indistinguishable from data sent to and from the app by our millions of regular users. By using the Guardian app, readers are effectively providing 'cover' and helping us to protect journalistic sources.

Today we published the story. We identified 402 listings located on illegal settlements across the West Bank - 350 on Airbnb and 52 on Booking.com. These included 18 Airbnbs in outposts - settlements considered illegal under Israeli, as well as international law.
