She/her. Arknights is fun. Viva yuri. Yaoi's cute.
Oh, I thought it was - you had to have a very specific spell (you needed the class that had it and you needed to know what it was). Has been a long time since then, admittedly, so I may misremember that.

Oh, I rather think many never got to that point so they can't remember. These games were long, cryptic and often very unfair as well. See also Wizardry 4, which was so mean they had to add a walkthrough to get out of the first room.

Amazon strangled them, whats left is funko pops and merchandise (in the latter store). At least it still has manga, which is *something* to browse.

But it's really sad. I wanted to browse, but I cannot. I miss these bookstores. I really do.

I returned to a city I lived in 20 years ago recently. It had several massive bookstores, and a shop that had tons of english fantasy/scifi books. Most of the books I still own (over a hundred) are from the latter - it was the best place to get English books over here.

Today? All gone.

It really shows that a lot of people remember 90s games the way they advertized themselves, not the way they were.

Marketing blubber supercedes reality. Which kinda makes sense given how many people finish games in general.

The Realms of Arkania trilogy. It has about 100 skills to put points into.

Some of them come into play once.
Some come into play exactly zero times.
Some will cause your party to actively miss mandatory story dungeons if you don't skill them high enough.

Good luck figuring out which is which!

Personally, I'm shipping female nazi pilot X enemy missile impact. To her face.

Yeah, any IRL artist community pretty much will share the sentiment and dislike AI stuff. It's usually the always online hustle spheres that champion AI stuff. And then ask for help with prompts.

This is why disgusting old men should be put behind bars after grooming 18-20 year olds. Including the disgusting old creep that groomed her.

Grok high on accuracy, you know, the tool famous for pushing whatever crackpot ideology Musk is championing that day.
November 26, 2025 at 4:20 PM
Yes, normal people hate AI and the scum that pushes it.

Videos are curated experiences. What you are shown may not even be the full or even accurate experience, it may be a cut, exaggerated for dramatic effect

A lot of gamer knowledge from such videos is solely based on cherrypicked youtube "comedy". See, say, Zelda 2 (AVGN) or Final Fantasy X (Spoony).

But nobody said you can't or shouldn't. I think you're reading things into the whole thing that just weren't there.

Watch such things. I do too. It's fun and accomodations are good.

What's called a problem here is people that think they got *all* one can from a game via videos.
November 24, 2025 at 8:14 PM
We are not gatekept here at all. I just watched a Noah video about it, but I didn't experience Sekiro.

This is objectively true. There is no gatekeeping.

We can watch such videos. We just didn't play the game.

A "loather of fascism" who fanatically defends the tech solely championed by openly fascist billionaires.

How odd.
November 24, 2025 at 6:34 AM
...And yet the fae have less malicious nonsense in their contracts than a regular tech company!

That's just me tbh.

Oh for sure - but it goes hand in hand! Good way to depress wages across the board (outside the execs whose wages magically always only grow), those whose job is already precarious can be pushed lower and lower. Or just employed externally for a pittance.

Yes, in 2022. Thanks for agreeing and proving the point. Like on any topic, liberals have to be forced into basic human decency, and they still take decades to get there.
November 16, 2025 at 9:25 AM
An act Biden signed. Years after Obama, by the way, since liberals had, as usual, to be beaten into basic human decency after dragging their feet for years (not to mention don't ask don't tell).

The queer community votes for liberals because they're the least bad option only, not because we want to
November 16, 2025 at 9:07 AM
Nah. Gavin Newsom literally proves this wrong. Obama opposed gay marriage, while liberals kept tut-tuting us queers during that fight.

Even Jon Steward had a fit because icky queers were being "too scary" with even the most innocuous acts of protests, such as glitter bombing.

The main purpose of AI is just for bosses to justify paying workers less - a skilled job becomes "just fix what the AI made". Everything else is a smokescreen.

In game dev, translation was the canary in the coal mine on this approach (see also "MTPE"), and people failed to care.
November 16, 2025 at 8:33 AM
Don't you think it's strange that you are okay with tut-tuting survivors on their language (oh no ad hominem!), yet yourself immediately abandon the facts and exaggerate what it all was about?
November 16, 2025 at 8:26 AM
This thing is why I will always prefer Skaven over any other Warhammer thing. It's just so silly and perfect and fun.
