Searching for the intersectionality and ethics in AI while fighting for equality. Chicago based researcher. Substack is where I rant about tech stuff and keep my research notes on Critical AI Theory https://substack.com/@kayehowi81

I just published a new Substack: A deep dive into my SEI Framework and the start of what I’m calling Critical AI Theory.
It’s about building AI that actually centers humans, culture, consent, and emotional intelligence.

The cost of true freedom is giving up proximity to the privileges held by white supremacy.

Being actively anti racist means putting yourself in front of white supremacy and meeting it head on. Challenging it, dismantling it, and doing better for yourself and humanity. We deserve better.

I move full time to ranting on Substack. I like it over there. There's also my Discord server and I'm thinking I may need to be more active on it.
Question - What happens when things hit a boiling point and Bluesky inevitably begins to collaborate with this administration?

I’m re-upping this because we need to focus. No country should allow masked enforcement officers to terrorize communities. But this country’s history makes this practice ESPECIALLY repugnant. So long as we allow anonymity & impunity there will be brutality.

Oh yeah. I guess if it were a true kidnapping, instead of an extraction to undercut BRICS and Cuba, then the wife wouldn't have been brought? There wouldn't have been 4 outfit changes?

Get rid of GenAI. Now. If tech bros consider art worthless, why are they dumping billions into GenAI and trying to convince all of us that AI allows anyone to create? We could do so much good with AI, but we're at the phase where it's being used for literal evil, ugh.

It's too bad Rep Al Green's party doesn't have the spine to back him. He's been pushing for impeachment for a while.

What does it mean that the US will "run" Venezuela?! Did this administration just literally snatch a country away from its citizens? What level of imperialism is this?!

A news organization should not "love" anything but the truth. RIP CBS News.

I know this mfer didn't just start his 3rd war since taking office last year.

And he kidnapped a foreign leader?! Sure, Maduro is trash, but dammit, you can't just kidnap ppl. SMH, this administration sure loves kidnappings.
If anyone is asking why, the answer is oil.

Tonight, the President of the United States has launched an unconstitutional war of aggression, dooming another generation to spill their blood for oil, and lay waste to a sovereign nation.

I demand that Congress exercise its power, halt this conflict, and impeach this war criminal president.

Crews will work to replace one of the oldest stations on the CTA rail system with a modern facility designed to improve safety, accessibility, and comfort for all riders.

And speaking of the Crusades, it seems the Orange One is trying to revive that bs, with his latest attack in Nigeria.
History really does repeat itself, especially when dictators lack creativity.
SMH.

I am so fascinated by the Crusades that I took a whole college course on it. The story of King Baldwin particularly tickles me, because why did European nobility think THAT plan was going to work? 😂It's true, they were about wealth, power and generational bs.
Seeing loads of posts with this type of imagery.

From cosplaying Christian crusaders, who still don’t realise that the crusades was about protecting wealth and power.

Not Christians. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Wide awake (that's just shelter life) and writing another Substack piece. This time, I'm wondering why folks are building AI models with sexy personalities. It's more than binary thinking, the patriarchy, and colonialism. Why don't we build AI that the majority of folks actually want? WTF.

Just as Chicagoans still call the Sears Tower the Sears Tower, I'm still going to call the Kennedy Center the Kennedy Center. Even if his egotistical mania signs an exec order saying that we HAVE to call it whatever he named it, it will always be the Kennedy Center.

Yall need to read this now. This is the exact thing I hope Critical AI hopes to tackle, because honestly, it's true. AI today is being built by those with a slave fetish. I don't believe AI is meant to be another tool of oppression or an economic system

Let Christopher Anderson's photos for Vanity Fair remind everyone of the limits of AI. AI could NEVER capture nor recreate what a human sees in their mind's eye. I love what AI can do, but again, I understand and respect the limits. AI is a useful toolset and that's okay.

I have to admit, I like using NASA's universe images for my Substack articles, lol. The human experience is just as vast as the Universe and to contain either is a lesson in insanity.
