After that, it was all looking very monochromatic blue & I wasn't quite feeling it, so I overlaid it with a texture made from a scan of handmade paper that I crunched & artifacted to hell, & played with the colour balance/layer properties til I was more satisfied!

Thanks! 💖 I wasn't sure where to go for the colouring, so this was a really meandering process, but I started w/ an open-source texture photo of smoke in the dark & gaussian blurred it to hell. Then, I lightened up the dark spots on everything but her hair, & added light/shadows on different laters.

Right? That creamy yet saturated yellow against the blues of the sky and the deep black-brown of the tree bark-! GORGEOUS
