Well, our retirement lasted four months and it's definitely time for a re-introduction of sorts! ZR! covers highlights of all things #zebrafish and other cool teleost species. We act as a resource hub for questions/queries from the community while celebrating all those that are part of it! #RockOn 🧪
Still searching for this one! Any leads appreciated 🙏
🤔 #AskZebrafish: Looking for a zebrafish version of the Mito-RiboTag mouse line. Has anyone made one or might have a vector they could share? Any leads would be thoroughly appreciated!

If you’ve ever wondered why you can inject things into the yolk early and it affects the embryo, this phenomena is the reason it works! 👇 #zebrafish

Still looking for leads!
Query from Slack: Looking for Tg(pax3:GAL4) and any driver line for ascl1:GAL4 or Cre? Preferably in Europe. Any help and/or leads would be appreciated! #AskZebrafish
November 15, 2025 at 10:26 AM
Hey colleagues, does anyone in Europe have the mrc1a:gal4 line available? Alternatively, I’d be grateful for the plasmid or mrc1a promoter in p5’E. Thanks @zebrafishrock.bsky.social

Thrilled to receive the 2026 Melanie O’Neill New Investigator Award in Biological Chemistry. Grateful for the phenomenal students, postdocs, collaborators and mentors who power every discovery in our lab! Onward with more nucleic acid chemistry, gene activation and biosensing!!! #NucleicAcids
The Melanie O’Neill New Investigator Award is presented to a scientist residing in Canada who has made a distinguished contribution to biological chemistry or biophysical methods. Congratulations to Dr. Maureen McKeague of McGill University on being the recipient of this award. buff.ly/gqajBj4

When a larval zebrafish twitches its tail, the vascular endothelium lights up with a calcium signal, mediated by Piezo1. We used to think mechanosensing in endothelial cells was about sensing blood flow, but at least in this case it's about sensing body motion.
