Update, just in case you get to use PS sometime: It seems to be brush related after all. I started getting the glitch again while using other brushes, and then back to normal when using "less problematic" brushes lmao. Problem kinda-solved!

I was trying to replicate and make a sample for you, and JUST NOW it decided to work perfectly 😂. This happens 99% of the time for me LMAO.
And I do think it must be related in some way related to Wacom/PS because when I used a Huion I didn't get that issue. Well, I'm ok for now I guess xD

Is this Photoshop? And if the answer is yes, how can you do a "hatching" type of rendering without the lines being accidentally connected to each other every time you draw them fast? (Photoshop+Wacom user here, I've never been able to properly hatch since... 2010?)

I can't really explain how, but it REALLY felt like a "new game". It was so crisp and non-sf2, I love it. And those portraits are 👌

The font! 👀

Besides the fact that I love this, as I do with all of your work, this one looks like it could be a really interesting version of "Frogger"

Disjointed is a very good word to describe it. Feels like they just went "let's put a lot of things that are conventionally perceived as cool!" before anything. FS usually shows concepts that are more solid and clearly defined. The animations don't help with the tone either, IMO.

Yeah the hip area is really tough to make look 3d enough! Without a good reference it's hell

Love the pose (very annoying angle to draw for me) and the gentle, cool fill light!

8) Make your own drawing/painting/animation/3d/photo/video/game/sculpture! At least -sometimes-

Peace out, gotta go back to convincing some clients to accept my design choices 😉

7) Of course we need to eat, so we work with clients and studios and groups of people. And then we are drained from those, and we just want to sleep or go outside, not stay and keep working on personal stuff after being exhausted. (ok maybe some of you weirdos do that, I can't, and I envy you).
March 18, 2025 at 2:31 PM
6) So we (yes, me too) should try to work on our little stupid things every once in a while. Even if it's just doodles or a small series of simple images. It'll be the only time where we can try stuff without people forcing us to take the previous, safe, harmless, derivative route.

5) So basically, when you're working on that GREAT PROJECT©, it is very likely that the artistic voice in the final product won't be 100% yours. It'll be probably be a very nerfed version of your actual abilities and taste. And people won't know that, and you need to be at piece with it.
March 18, 2025 at 2:31 PM
4) Maybe the only exception to this is dealing directly with the client, they know you, and (usually) they're an individual. Some of my best clients are individuals, they have clear ideas about "what to show", but they 100% trust my judgement when I suggest what would look cool. Find those clients.

3) Most clients or studios will commend how brave/bold/clever certain media is (comic pages, animation sequences, narrative illustrations) WHEN THEY ARE ALREADY PUBLISHED AND DONE BY SOMEONE ELSE. But with you? Please make it as standard as possible, don't take risks, don't make the weird idea.
