The very fact that my first response to "US intelligence services leak secret negotiations to undercut US president's foreign policy" is relief instead of concern is itself concerning.

Curtailing the influence and power of the Russians, which has been the primary goal and purpose of US intelligence services since before WWII ended?

They just happen to need to work against the current US president in order to do so these days.
