it also makes it harder to build a family literacy environment. you can’t take your whole family without spending a lot of money!

I’ve seen multiple states offer charter schools specifically for kids with dyslexia and other learning disabilities.

This depends on the state. In the south, union rates of teachers have dropped dramatically because there’s no union protections.

This is largely a phenomenon of high income families leaving public schools.

The highest income 20% of districts have lost more public school students than the other 80% combined (lower income districts have largely recovered enrollments).
