THREAD: Following the sad news yesterday that Peter Clarke, C64 musician and remixer, has passed away, I'd like to pay tribute to someone whom I had got to know well and a great raconteur of stories of his time at Ocean and elsewhere. Lots of great music too. Here goes (1)
Tune in tomorrow from 1600 CET (that's 1500 for UK folks) and enjoy a full day of proper Commodore 64 sceners doing great things.
Saturday, Nov 29th 2025 at 16:00 CET is when we start our Transmission64 at t64.to/watch. Currently, we're checking & recording all the awesome contributions we've received. JOIN US at #Transmission64. Here's a quick peek at our studio where things are being prepared. #c64 #demoscene #commodore64

Being a proud owner of Volume One, I now have treated myself with an early present to order Volumes Two and Three together at the same time. Absolute quality books and made with care and love and with all the insight of the incredible PWEI band members.
There are only around 80 copies of Vol2 left!
The third PWEI book by Paul Snell and Adam Mole is now available to pre-order and if it's anything like the previous two it's gonna be great!

There's a discount if you pre-order in the first week:

WSL Football needs to get their act together and start to treat the game it is supposed to represent with professionalism. It is an insult to the players and fans that this sort of utter rubbish drags the game down.
Or hand it back to the FA to run properly instead.

I take a look at Mastertronic's Storm for the Commodore 64, which may have taken inspiration from a certain arcade machine. Did it fill the budget gap nicely, or was it a storm in a teacup? Read and find out:

Storm, Commodore 64, Mastertronic - Mastertronic Collectors Archive
Storm on the Commodore 64 is a one or two player game where Storm and Agravain Undead must battle the minions of the evil Una Cum in this Gauntlet clone inspired arcade adventure.

What a weekend for Manchester City's women's team. They tonked Manchester United 3-0 in the Manchester derby, and then both Chelsea and Arsenal had draws on Sunday, meaning a very healthy league table so far. Got to keep going, but promising at least!

Time for some Commodore 64 arcade rip-off action via @bloggospow.bsky.social as four games that are a slight resemblance to arcade machines are played. There's a bona fide C64 classic in there, and nods to soundtracks from Chris Hülsbeck and the late Ben Daglish.

I take a look at Frenesis, a very different and colourful game from Mastertronic on the Commodore 16 and Plus/4. Will the gameplay match the splashes of colour, or does it leave you feeling nauseous? Find out:

Game Review: Frenesis (Commodore 16 and Plus/4, Mastertronic) - Mastertronic Collectors Archive
Frenesis on the Commodore 16 and Plus/4 is a game where armed with your Statron, you must destroy all the invading hordes of aliens across forty levels of frenetic action.

It will not surprise anyone that Erling Haaland has scored two more goals for Norway tonight in their World Cup qualifier (and 14 in this group stage!), as they lead Estonia 4-1. If Italy fail to beat Moldova later, then Norway are through.

One of the loveliest things about being a member of The Correspondent's Club and supporting @penfriendrocks.bsky.social is the community of listeners - especially with the monthly listening parties that really open the ears to music too. It's a real pleasure to contribute as well. Thank you Laura!

Hard to believe it's 40 years this year that this superb Cabaret Voltaire 2 x 12" EP Drinking Gasoline was released. Four superb tracks and glad I picked up the initial CD reissue when that came out (hard to find now) and I have the original vinyl too.

Picked up the reissue CD of the Buckingham-Nicks album at the weekend. My father had the original 1973 LP (which I have now) so finally hearing this remaster gives me happy memories. And Frozen Love of course was the catalyst for the two of them joining Fleetwood Mac, so important historically too
