I'm not exceptionalizing ICE - you are. Calling them police would mean US Park Rangers, US Postal Inspectors, and the US Cost Guard are defined as police too.

ICE agents are federal law enforcement - not police. They enforce immigration laws, not general criminal law. Police protect communities; ICE enforces borders. Big difference.
