Dimorphic-root ideotype demonstrates increased rice yield in nutrient-deficient paddy fields in Madagascar
Abstract. Demand for rice is rapidly increasing in sub-Saharan Africa; however, its productivity is constrained by nutrient-poor paddy soils, particularly

I’m excited to share our new publication. We show that optimizing root system architecture can significantly enhance sustained photosynthetic capacity in rice production. Huge congratulations, Momoha!!

Deep root system architecture from a combination of DRO1 and qRL6.1 maintains high photosynthesis during rice grain-filling in paddy fields
The source capacity affects grain yields. Many efforts have been made to enhance grain yields by introducing quantitative trait loci (QTLs) responsible for shoot-related traits associated with sour...

In autumn, many kinds of mushrooms grow in the mountains, but this is the first time I've seen a mushroom that looks like a brain🧠

Our collaborative research with Dr. Kawachi group have been published. PET-CT results suggest that nodules act as dynamic regulators of photosynthates translocation under soil variation in soybean. Congrats, Dr. Miyoshi!!

We published a new paper investigating the rice NILs & PYLs with root QTLs to identify which root QTL is important for drought avoidance. Our findings indicate that the QTL for root angle is more critical for drought avoidance than the other root traits.
