The Protector (2005) never ceases to wow me when I watch it. It's so fucking good.

Jaa is everything in this.

Tremors, forever and always. Nothing will ever come close, despite a very strong filmography.

I *do* want to give some love to:

Sleepers
The River Wild and White Water Summer, which I always mix up, but love bith immensely
Beauty Shop
Balto
Death Sentence

God(dess) damn, maybe Blue Prince isn't my game of the year...

Rekha crushed the season premiere of Very Important People

Lots and lots of good shit this year.

My pick is (still) "I Don't Want to See You in Heaven" by The Callous Daoboys

I'm gonna need Universal to tell me where the hell they expect me to put this Pride & Prejudice UHD, because it sure isn't fitting on any of my media shelves...

Finally on physical, so my weekend will consist of Creepshow: The Series, and Hades II (along with it's included soundtrack)

Overlooked: Greener Grass (2019)
The funniest movie I've seen in a very, very long time.

Underrated: Dinner in America
Most people say it is good, but most people aren't calling it the best movie of the decade, which is what it is.

Dang! Missed opportunity to have "Dunston Checks In" on the channel.

Oh hellll yeah

Cannot recommend Zhang Yimou's "Shadow (2018)" more highly, for this, and just in general.

Made sure to take advantage of the very depressing Shout! sale. Took a good while to get here, but I'm very happy with what arrived

I worry that GKids may be dissolved/separated, based on how this inventory sale treated those titles.

The Mask and Together on 4K should make for fun watches.

Most Mastodon albums, but I'll just go with one and throw a handful of other great options in.

Serializd is calling me out for basically only watching animation lately.

And this isn't even showing animation I've watched all the available episodes for, like One Piece, South Park, and One Punch Man.

The Return of Godzilla is currently on Criterion Live for their Godzilla Day Marathon.

The score is so fucking good, man. This movie just rules.

Criterion, if you're gonna play Heisei Era Godzilla movies, I'm gonna need you to announce that you've licensed them for physical release, pretty please.

Might be my favorite third entry in a film series, ever. It is so fucking good. David Strathairn is *soooooooo* magnificent here.

Plus, Edgar Ramirez and Julia Stiles.

Love, love, love this movie.

Hell yeah, showed up on Godzilla Day.

Very curious about the ORTHOchromatic version of the film.

Tired: Comedians make great horror movies.

Wired: Anime directors make great Godzilla movies.

Still annoyed that Ad Astra came and went the way that it did.

Ghost of Yōtei keeps incentivising me to do sidequests with these sick ass cosmetic rewards, and that's exactly why I'm 40 fucking hours into this game and haven't hardly touched the story.

I've faced *zero* story bosses and have only acquired two(ish) new weapon types.

Happy 25th to both of these perfect beauties.

Wild and weird January lineup, which is always what I hope for.

Not sure why we (U.S.) are getting the third domestic UHD of Evil Dead Rise in as many years, but I'm not complaining. Give me all the supplements for that beautiful movie.

Favorite album from my favorite band. First of theirs with Peart on drums.

So many come to mind.

The Janis Joplin one is a bit of a cheat, but it's the first album under the "Janis Joplin" band name, rather than "Big Brother & Holding Company featuring Janis Joplin," which is such a mouthful.
