Perhaps it will cheer you to know that there's a healthy queue of hold requests in the Philadelphia Free Library

It was a total joy to lead this ride in my D6 costume, which I made last year but didn't get to debut until last night. If there's anything I love more than people on bikes, it's people on bikes in costumes - it's such a fun mix of the practical, social, and absurd

The guy who runs Damp Roads recommended Sticky Brand stickers, and I used them for the last batch of black and white @wednightrides.org stickers - no complaints!

A bicycle is never really "done", but this is the complete package -- fenders, rack, dynamo lighting, comfort dialed in with via seat, stem, and bars. I built this, and E rode it 80+ miles this weekend to and from Camp Kweebec for Bikeout

I find Cira Green amazing and beautiful, but it seems under-used, just a handful of people today despite perfect weather. I think this may be because it's hard to see the entrance, shown here at street level. Yes, there is signage, but not much to distinguish it from any other parking structure

A different topic: I'm getting PT for achy knees. I have at-home exercises to do, but it's a packed day and I'm working in the office. How to fit them in? I decided to do the exercises on my lunch break on Cira Green, the rooftop park atop a parking structure next door to my office.

Happened to be at his statue at Valley Forge, where he drilled the Continental Army into fighting shape, just two days ago

Today at the PBA ride I was unexpectedly inducted into the philadelphia dynamo headlight society by CJ

Blessed be the hub

After being eaten literally to the ground by the black swallowtail caterpillars, the lubczyk has miraculously recovered! Incredible. (Lubczyk is the Polish word for lovage, it's an herb that tastes like celery leaves)

Three years ago my family visited the Cotswold Falconry Centre on vacation, and I'm still subscribed to the newsletter despite living 3,000+ miles away because of photos like this. This is Ryme, a 13-year old Boreal Owl the size of a hamster

I feel like this has happened to me, where it says "AI summary not available" -- but then, I never use the full version of these softwares, I mostly just ask them for wrong answers about how many letters are in common words

A bikeway on cobblestone is a solved problem -- e.g. in New York, they put a granite 'bike lane' on Varick St www.archpaper.com/2015/05/new-...

Elizabeth New Jersey, great drag name. It was right there all along, called out by the conductor on trains trundling up and down the Northeast Corridor

That said, LED sun theory is amazing, but in a 'birds aren't real' way, not in a "actually that resonates with me" way harpers.org/archive/2022...
