Picked up a bonus passenger on the way to school in Roxbury today! Rode by a friend walking and asked if she wanted to hop in. Her dad got an earlier less rushed commute to work; we beat the gridlock traffic and had time to hit the playground before school doors opened.

Today getting from Rozzie to Dorchester 🚲. Am. Lgn. Hwy had flex posts before resurfacing. Was resurfaced months ago. I understand the plan for better materials, but this puts people at risk who think they’re on a protected route. @streets.boston.gov @wutrain.bsky.social @mass.streetsblog.org

So great to celebrate the opening of Pine Street Inn’s new supportive housing building in JP today! And as always, our state rep Sam Montaño keeping it real. So many years to make this project happen.

I’m especially grateful for the vulnerability and openness with which so many shared their stories, and the incredible colleagues that I broke bread with in Lesotho, Malawi, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Mexico, and Navajo Nation to name a few.

Today marks 16 years clean and in recovery from active drug addiction. Grateful for who I’ve shared gotten to share life and recovery with. Thinking about the many of close friends who have died of this disease and those working to make treatment and longterm recovery more accessible and abundant.

Only the *finest* regional cuisine for the holidays. IYKYK.
