8 days post surgery. Hanging back with the cats more than I’d like. No offense cats!

Happy World Car Free Day! My six-year-old clocked many miles on his own bike this week!

Everyone deserves to have the freedom of movement.

It’s one of the reasons why Dot and I started @ridecargob.bsky.social , but there are so many ways to make a difference!

Let’s keep the pressure on our local governments to build safer infrastructure so more kids like ours can bike or walk to school!

Picked up a bonus passenger on the way to school in Roxbury today! Rode by a friend walking and asked if she wanted to hop in. Her dad got an earlier less rushed commute to work; we beat the gridlock traffic and had time to hit the playground before school doors opened.

Here’s the return trip, southbound. I suppose the flex posts didn’t help here. FWIW, that ride between Cummings Hwy to Morton St was solid 👍🏼 @311.boston.gov @massbike.bsky.social @bikeboston.bsky.social

Today getting from Rozzie to Dorchester 🚲. Am. Lgn. Hwy had flex posts before resurfacing. Was resurfaced months ago. I understand the plan for better materials, but this puts people at risk who think they’re on a protected route. @streets.boston.gov @wutrain.bsky.social @mass.streetsblog.org

25 minutes on a Wednesday morning. From Roxbury, to the Public Garden, to Gov’t Center, drivers do what ever they want at the expense of everyone else and never face any consequence in Boston @boston.gov @mayorwu.boston.gov @mass.streetsblog.org @boston311.bsky.social @bostoncitycouncil.bsky.social

So great to celebrate the opening of Pine Street Inn’s new supportive housing building in JP today! And as always, our state rep Sam Montaño keeping it real. So many years to make this project happen.

I’m especially grateful for the vulnerability and openness with which so many shared their stories, and the incredible colleagues that I broke bread with in Lesotho, Malawi, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Mexico, and Navajo Nation to name a few.

PIH's mission is especially important in the face of this ugly political moment.

It’s a very strange feeling to be leaving my role at PIH after 9+ years. Sharing some photographs that I had the privilege of making for the organization. This work, and those I got to work alongside have made such a huge impact on my life. All images © Partners In Health.

Today marks 16 years clean and in recovery from active drug addiction. Grateful for who I’ve shared gotten to share life and recovery with. Thinking about the many of close friends who have died of this disease and those working to make treatment and longterm recovery more accessible and abundant.
