Omega was the JSOC component attached to the CTPT program. This guy was in the Kandahar CTPT, known as as the QSF or KSF in the early years and later as NSU-03 after they were ostensibly part of the NDS (with CIA actually maintaining full control). Omega 50 was the JSOC team that worked with them.

I first encountered Pollard's case through reading archival letters he wrote to prominent American Jewish figures in which he tried to portray himself as a martyr, and it was very evident from the tone that he was a remarkably mendacious and self-serving person.
