No. 2 IU football wrote its origin story for new era, sets up collision course with No. 1 Ohio State
Curt Cignetti has completely flipped the culture of IU football, the win at Penn State the next stamp of approval. Two undefeateds may soon meet, defined differently.

Elijah Sarratt is day to day right now.

Cignetti says emotion also came from his memories of State College through his dad: "My first time in that stadium was 1971, and I was back in that stadium every two years for 15, 16 years. I can tell you a lot of long rides home, and not a lot of happy rides home." #iufb

Cignetti: "I did get a little choked up there at the end, just because I was so proud of our guys." #iufb

Cignetti on Senior Day Saturday: "I think all the guys really are focused on today and what lies ahead, but those guys have been tremendous foundational pieces for the program, back at JMU and here at Indiana." #iufb

Cignetti: "That final drive. We weren't getting much done on offense the previous few drives. ... Wasn't looking real great at that point, and everybody responded. And it always does start with the quarterback." #iufb

Cignetti says Drew Evans will be "a few weeks yet" before he can return from injury. Adedamola Ajani started at LG last week in part because Zen Michalski was limited during the week and didn't get much prep time. #iufb

College football runs, as much as anything else, on the kind of myth Indiana made Saturday at Penn State. It is what made the Hoosiers' win in Happy Valley so important.

Win at Penn State shows this Indiana football team can flip future forever
Omar Cooper Jr.'s right foot toe tap will forever be remembered in IU history, the second-best catch of that drive was equally crucial, and celebrated by AD Scott Dolson.

There’s plenty to improve, but Indiana basketball left snowy Chicago on Sunday with the most valuable reward for a team willing to challenge itself so early in the calendar:

Genuine momentum.

Indiana basketball is ahead of schedule, indicated by win vs Marquette, but has plenty to improve
The Hoosiers have yet to sort through their depth and other issues that persist. But they have two clear stars as a solid building block.

PSA: We are lighting outta here as soon as IU's press stuff is done, because there are multiple feet of snow allegedly bound for the Chicagoland area this evening. There will be postgame stuff, just perhaps a little bit on delay.

Final stats. #iubb

Last media timeout second half. Hoosiers lead Marquette 91-71, 3:56 left. #iubb

Conor Enright fouls out. #iubb

Indiana is just burying Marquette now. Golden Eagles look totally floored. IU's lead is 24 headed inside the last five minutes. #iubb
November 9, 2025 at 7:54 PM
Under-8 media timeout second half. IU leads Marquette 83-63, 7:40 left. #iubb
November 9, 2025 at 7:47 PM
Four fouls on Tucker DeVries with 13:15 left second half. They're not showing a replay of that one on the jumbotron. #iubb
November 9, 2025 at 7:37 PM
Indiana outscored 17-9 since halftime. Clearly a half step slow at both ends right now. Darian DeVries calls timeout. Hoosiers' lead down to 10, 65-55, 13:44 left second half. #iubb
November 9, 2025 at 7:33 PM
Seven IU fouls to two for Marquette so far in the second half. Indiana's still allowing too much penetration defensively, and starting to slow at the other end (probably because of fatigue and pure minutes played at this point). #iubb
November 9, 2025 at 7:31 PM
Four fouls on Enright now. Last two have been pretty tough calls.

At least I think so. I'm pretty far away. #iubb
November 9, 2025 at 7:24 PM
Three fouls now on each of Reed Bailey and Sam Alexis. #iubb
November 9, 2025 at 7:22 PM
Stats. Tucker DeVries in particular. #iubb
November 9, 2025 at 7:00 PM
HALFTIME: Indiana leads Marquette 56-38, after a Conor Enright halfcourt prayer goes in. Hard to remember the last time IU scored the ball that efficiently against high-major opposition. #iubb
November 9, 2025 at 6:59 PM
Indiana has slowed its offense to a crawl, just trying to bleed this half out because of fouls. But Tucker DeVries can't miss (24 pts, 5 3s) and Shaka Smart finally burns a timeout down 11. That becomes the final media timeout, with 3:14 left in the first half. #iubb
