Earliest thing I know is that during the Roman Republic the executive authority had the power to grant mercy. Everyone else just copied it in Europe. There might be east Asian examples. I dont know.

The US follows the English model. Alexander Hamilton thought it was essential.

🤣🤣🤣

Everyone still knows they are criminals?

That's a question for a priest.

It relieves punishment.

Emphatically no. If one is convicted of a crime and subsequently accepts a pardon it is an unmitigated admission of guilt. It does not change the facts of the crime in any way.

Overturning a conviction wipes it clean and essentially means one is not guilty. Courts very rarely overturn convictions.

I noticed in my area they are using more 'independent' contractors for delivery than actual Amazon drivers recently as well.

And yes, it's great they can debit me instantly but it takes a week to get a refund. 🙄

Minor consideration: executive pardons are not an absolution. They are supposed to be a grant of mercy.

I know most people probably don't follow post-pardon stuff but many of Trumps 'customers' are petitioning to have their convictions overturned. Accepting a pardon is an admission of guilt.

Yes, especially next day deliveries that turn into 2 day deliveries.

They always give me Amazon credit for them but really if I'm specifically looking to get something overnighted it is probably an emergency.

Equality is fine, just don't expect equity. 🙃

That's what I was thinking. Or she's a former meth addict.

I literally spent October posting from the hospital on ketamine and dilauded, unable to walk, with multiple IVs.

That's pretty much my take as well. There's a difference between having an opinion and spreading false information. They didn't say anything factually wrong, just expressed a viewpoint and said they didn't have any questions.

You don't have a cohesive point. I don't engage with sloppy/poor rhetoricians.

They are eliminating 0/0/0 plans so you cant even do that. 😆

Texas v White held that a state could leave the union 'through revolution, or through consent of the States' because revolution is a Natural Right.

but yes, it is a 'perpetual union.'

So when you got the plan you were like "Oh, a 10k deductible seems reasonable"?
November 30, 2025 at 7:59 PM
Sometimes it do be that way.
November 30, 2025 at 7:55 PM
I was on MySpace because everyone in my HS was, never on twitter. I'm more of a forum poster. Anyway if you are putting something out there publicly I thought the expectation of interaction was the point?

Spiritualized? That's a name I've not heard in a long time.

They also said Ukraine had until Thanksgiving to take the 28 point plan. Just more Russian propaganda.
