1. Don’t run an unpopular 80+ year old candidate

2. Don’t let inflation jump to 10%

Done.

”sanctioned” is doing a TON of legal load bearing in this statement.

It’s going to be immensely frustrating after IT HAPPENS when they say this was due to mental decline and not a core part of who he has always been.

Sure, but it’s not as if X is a neutral platform to converse on and it’s a fools errand to not acknowledge that.

It’s designed as a propaganda tool by a particularly deranged billionaire.

Also, the interent infrastructure built lasted decades.

The AI infrastructure last years at best before chips start needing replacement.

It’d a tragedy of the commons, they wouldn’t be good stewards without communal action.

So aside from the lack of cooling, what happens when a GPU fails and need to be replaced?

… or the fact that your likely to get many more bit flips without a ton of shielding

Don’t these people ever get tired of this shit?

This could be said of nearly every major war, everyone thinks it will be a “splendid little war” only to discover horror and misery.

Then that generation dies off and we do the whole thing all over again.

If you held platform accountable you can avoid 1A right issues. There would be challenges based on section 230 but they really does need to go for any sort of AI / social media enforcement.
December 6, 2025 at 6:21 PM
No, same as the Trump healthcare plan; eternally 2 weeks out.

Look, if we have to deride the IRA in order to re-enact the IRA under a new name and that sells with the public I’m willing to take that regardless of how stupid it is. Perhaps this time we can sell it better so it is popular.

There’s now profit motive for any unlikely event with a market, whether that be good or bad, and people can aid in those events coming to pass.
December 4, 2025 at 8:13 PM
So that is obje useful, but the degree to which this allows for insider trading on nearly any and all event seems bad for societal outcomes.
December 4, 2025 at 8:05 PM
But they also induce incentives to manipulate outcomes in a way that wouldn’t exist otherwise at scale, which genetically seems bad IMO.
December 4, 2025 at 7:17 PM
They really seem to not take any Trump threat seriously which has been a huge oversight; we are extremely lucky that Trump and co seem to be incompetent.
December 4, 2025 at 6:55 PM
Honestly I doubt it mostly because I don’t think this admin is competent enough to pull it off.
December 4, 2025 at 5:00 PM
Do you remember when people overreacted when a dem ad suggested republicans wanted to do exactly this?…. I sure do…..
December 3, 2025 at 3:29 PM
Agreed but the lack of pay increase does not justify them being able to do insider trading.
December 3, 2025 at 3:27 PM
“Warrior” cosplay is just another for of gender affirming care for insecure men.
December 3, 2025 at 4:27 AM
Tariff relief will be great to offset the doubling of health insurance they have also inflicted on the public.
December 3, 2025 at 4:13 AM
It’s just racism. A whistle is a euphemism.
December 3, 2025 at 4:10 AM
Yes and no.

They are but in a relative rather than absolute basis.

They are okay with getting less as long as they remain relatively better of vs those they see as below them (poor, minorities, etc). Status is more important than material wealth.
December 2, 2025 at 7:19 PM
Don’t discount that assuming everything is material means you don’t have to address the fact that ~30% of the pop are in fact deplorables.
