TROG is now free to disrupt a home invasion near you! It's a tightly paced book about an escaped cryptid amping up the terror in the knife's-edge atmosphere of a home invasion, and the young girl fighting to survive the night. Think ABOMINABLE X BECKY.

Huge thanks @eddiegenerous.bsky.social

Please forgive my continued promotional push in the lead-up to release day for this one.
Early reviewers are loving this Home Invasion tale with a cryptid twist. Think Becky X Abominable!
Out through Unnerving this March.
Pre-order in all the usual places.

Hung out with this fella while I was writing at a national park today.

Time to shout about POLYPHEMUS again. (Looks like I found an old Encyclo logo...oops...) @encyclopub.bsky.social

Also...just truck me: POLYPHEMUS and enCYCLOPocalypse. Match made in heaven. Or hell. Whatever.

Not gonna lie, I'm mindful of oversharing and spamming, but this blurb from @aarondries.bsky.social (which is cut from a way longer, way cooler one) made my day when it came through. Of course, I had to bastardize it and make it fit this promotional image.
January 23, 2025 at 11:14 AM
I just realized how close we are to TROG time! I need to start promoting this bad boy.

Coming from Unnerving in March.

If you're a reviewer and you'd like a copy for your blog, let me know. I'd also love to lock in some podcasts/interviews/readings, etc.
Send me a message if you can help.

Want to buy one of these just so I can have cheeses on the cross.

Last few days, I've been walking a local bush trail. The lace monitors are out in force.

Check it out - I talk about other people's books too! I jhad the great pleasure of listening to Last Night of Freedom by @danhowarth20.bsky.social this week, and it kicked my butt!

Like a cross between Calibre and Ready or Not, this buck's party gone wrong made for one hell of a read!

I'm shouting about my books a fair bit on here right now - sorry/not sorry - but I have a new release and an upcoming one!

So, POLYPHEMUS, my 3X award nommed death metal-focused faustian horror novel POLYPHEMUS has been re-released by @encyclopub.bsky.social.

I'd love for you to check it out!

And go on then, let's have another one. This Transylvanian kitty was chilling on a car while we were walking around Brasov. My wife, a wonderful cat lady, takes treats everywhere just for them.
November 13, 2024 at 7:00 PM
Oh hey, it's another cat pic!
November 13, 2024 at 6:27 PM
Always loved messing around with clay. Thought I'd spend some downtime here practising so I can make something more substantial when we get home.

This is Baxter from my story The Encampment by the Gorge. It's not perfect, and I'll make a bigger one back in Oz, but this was good fun...
November 10, 2024 at 8:50 PM
OMG, I haven't shared any cat pics on here yet! What am I doing with my life?

This is the Mootz. (Rhymes with puts and foots.)

Currently reading some Aaron Dries in a Transylvanian bar with a view like this...

Hey, here are my last four reads. Dug them all.

We adopted a bear from the Libearty Bear Sanctuary in Zărnești, Romania.

This place does amazing work providing a safe space for captive bears, many of whom were cruelly treated in circuses and roadside attractions across Ukraine, Romania, and Armenia.

Alisa is just one example.

Now that it's been included in the @eddiegenerous.bsky.social newsletter, the Andy Pratama cover reveal for my home invasion/cryptid novella, TROG can be shared.

ENCORE! ENCORE! ENCORE!
Polyphemus have returned!
October 29, 2024 at 7:40 PM
It's been a great week for POLYPHEMUS! First, it was nominated as a finalist in the Imadjinn Awards' Best Horror Novel Category, and now it's a finalist in the Australasian Shadows Awards' Best Novel category. I'm pretty happy about it all!
March 30, 2024 at 2:09 AM
In great news, The Morass has picked up a best horror novella nom in the Aurealis.

When I look at the names on that list, and think about the way I always knew that sticker was the mark of a quality book when I was a teen picking my next read, I feel honoured to be in such company!

Thanks all.

Thrilled to share this one. I've got a real soft spot for animal attack stories, and think them the earthbound equivalent of Cosmic horror in the way they privilege the uncaring nature of the universe over the human condition, reducing humanity's value to nothing but prey.
