Moments like that make the bad days at work disappear. The mom came in the next day to brag on me to my manager and showed me a pic of her daughter cuddling that pink 3DS in bed. These little human moments are so nice.

Years ago, I worked at GameSt*p, and a mom and a maybe 5-6yo girl came in. It was her birthday, and she wanted a 3DS. I asked her what color, the mom said she agonized before finally choosing blue. But I knew we had 1 newly-released pink system in the back.

Real talk, this is why there are some games I don't mind buying digital. Games like Animal Crossing and Pokemon, I know I'm going to want that on hand at any time for multi, trading, etc., and I know I'm going to play it a ton.

I feel you. If it's not bringing you joy, it's cool to take a break. I've found treating socmed as a place to share on my own terms rather than hustle has helped me mentally. I only check in maybe 2-3 times a day for 5 or so minutes at a time now.

It really is. Sometimes, I even claw over with my right hand to hit the d-pad while I move. It's situational, but if it works, it ain't stupid. PSP taught me to claw.
