ok so while i'm still to lazy to make a proper progress report here's what i've been doing
navigating between areas will be P&C too, here's a example of what that'd look like (instead of black squares imagine there's arrows)
also added the button to switch modes, it even has a neat animation :]

been slowly getting back to drawing more as opposed to only writing, and two doodles in a day is an achievement :]

i know i JUST made a temporary textbox a few weeks ago but i made a new one and i actually like how it looks
i've also been working on doing the background transitions a bit more properly, though it is a bit hard to test which is better until i get others to play through it themselves

anyways have a wip of me trying to see how scenes work in renpy, not exactly the most convincing car ride but it works for now

it took me an unfathomable amount of time to figure out how to always have the mc's sprites visible even when it's a different character talking
there were some solutions online but it was rather jank, so i ended up doing this thing where i made my own screen specifically for the mc's sprites

i never did figure out how to disable the arrow when at the 15th page, but i guess the player just has infinite save pages now...

and, gotta admit, i think it turned out well? (left sprite is from 2023, the one on the right is the new one)
...also i just got better at character design lol

I saw that there were Hunter & Rofi wallpapers that looked pretty cool, so i made some for Artemis! (might be scaled oddly, they're made for 2340x1080 phones)
