21: Cat at the Condominium.

I know it also shows up in the Vending Machine Factory, but I thought the palette was too close to the last drawing so I brought it back here. I never noticed kitty had a chair! Oops! Hope nobody trips on it...

20: Water's Edge

I fell asleep drawing this yesterday hehehe. This is such a calming place, it gives me the same feeling I had when I found the Depths for the first time...
Also, lamp posts are hard!

Smells like a cave, and a bit like unscented candles.

Day 19: Ice Cream Dream

I love a good pun, so today we have this dessert desert. I do think it's iconic, even if it's not as old as other areas. I drew this while eating ice cream too :3

Smells like ice cream, of course. IT'S MADE OF DREAMS IT'S OKAY IT WON'T MELT UNDER THE SUN.

2kki location: Ice Cream Dream. An open desert landscape with soft sloping dunes made of ice cream, in stripes of different flavours: mint, vanilla, strawberry, chocolate. Round scoops of each flavour stack into small pillars across the landscape. Urotsuki is chewing at a scoop of chocolate.

Day 18: Home Within Nowhere

Yay the drawings are back! One thing I like about this house is how much character every pixel in it has. I feel like I can see it vividly, and tried to convey some of that. Uro slippers!

Smells like cinnamon tea, oddly enough.

2kki location: Home Within Nowhere. Genkan-style entrance to a house, as seen from the inside. There's a blinding white void where the outside world should be. There are several styles of shoes on the tiled floor, more or less organized. There's also an umbrella holder, a shoe rack with slippers, a potted monstera and a few amenities on a shelf.

Today I didn't draw because I went outside, but I did make a diagram in Spanish about the logistics of sandwich-eating, so there's that.

Don't let Neon find out I did this.
Diagram of the Average Sandwich (spelt "sángüish"): Shows a chicken sandwich with a progression from Firm (meat), Slippery (veggies and mayo) and Soft (bun). Also shows the unbalance in Grabbable Area (the large top bun vs the small narrow bottom). Basic Bite: An open human jaw. Top jaw is labeled "Contact Point (Fixed)". Bottom jaw is "Slicing Element (Movable)". A curving upward arrow signals the direction of the cut. Standard Grip. An upright sandwich with several "caution" symbols to label problem areas: 1) Sauces and crumbs fall onto hands. 2) Narrow and delicate base: Uneven force, risk of bottom breaking apart. 3) Fluffy contact point cushions the bite, requiring to be more forceful. 4) Firmest part (i.e. meat) pushes against the wet items = risk of slippage. Reverse Grip: An upside-down sandwich. Same points as before have been labeled with green circles, showing they've been "solved": 1) Sauces and crumbs fall cleanly into bun. 2) Wide and fluffy base: Uniform force, no risk of bottom breaking apart. 3) Flat and thin contact point gives in effortlessly when bitten. 4) Firmest part pushes against top teeth = minimizes risk of slippage.

Day 17: Sky Kingdom

TWO DOGS IN A ROW! I wanted it to more or less complement the last drawing with the rainbow wolf. I wanted Dogboa's face to be literally the 「空」kanji, so it ended up getting a little chonmage, hehe.

Smells like a burnt building.

2kki location: Sky Kingdom. Several interconnected metallic structures and platforms floating in the sky. They seem to have been damaged by a fire. There's one unreachable platform where a dog-like creature is sitting down. Its face resembles the character 空 (Sky). Urotsuki is watching it from a different platform, with the Crossing effect on.

Day 16: Rainbow Road

Since yesterday was more futuristic, for this one I went for a nostalgic VHS vibe. I wanted to steer away from the Mario Kart look and I'm happy with the outcome. Referenced a bunch of movies for these, heheh. WOLF!

Yume 2kki location: Rainbow Road. A long winding rainbow on a starfield. Chubby stars and happy clouds with faces float around the place. A rainbow wolf is playing with Urotsuki, who has also turned into a rainbow wolf girl herself. Painted in the style of children's animation from the late 70's / early 80's.

Day 15: Virtual City

This one's a bit uninspired because I was bummed about losing my save, but overall I think it came out more or less like what I had planned, so it's still good.

Smells like that warm air that comes out of computer monitors.

I accidentally overwrote my 2kkitober file and lost everything i had (the completed drawing for Virtual City, but also all the little menu windows I had made).

But somehow I can't take it too seriously because this is what I overwrote it with xD

Day 14: Shop Ruins Doctor (🚩mild gore)
My friend Nezu picked this for today's prompt, and I had a lot of fun with it. I really like the shop ruins in general, and I'm very happy with this design!

No name box this time cuz it got in the way.

Smells... well it'd be rude to say.

Day 13: Megalith Grove

I was tempted to draw the bus stop with Cinnabar, but then I thought "not enough megaliths", so I went for this view instead. It's there in the back if you squint, though!

Day 12: Nostalgic House

For "old house" I knew it had to be this one. Tried to make it look a bit like a peephole but also egg! I always struggle drawing Uro cuz she's a bit abstract to me, but I feel I'm starting to pin down some basics.

Day 11: Whispery Sewers

I thought I would struggle way more with this one, but I didn't! It did take me a very long time, though. I really like this type of area, I want to come explore it some more.

Smells like moss and something slightly sweet? Odd!

There are some intrincate patterns painted on a wall, with hand and eye elements. Urotsuki is relaxing on the bridge, her legs hanging down.

Day 10: Realistic Beach

I don't know why, but lately all my landscapes are a bit stormy. I like it! Though that's maybe not the best weather to play with the waves... A bit rushed cuz I have to travel today!

Day 9: Motel Breeze

Despite the layout being quite straightforward, I somehow get lost here every time. But it makes sense? I feel like that's how a hotel should be. Horse mask included, of course.

Smells like those little pine-shaped air fresheners, and a hint of cigarette.

Day 8: Underground Bar

Fake PC-98 screencap! This took me a while because I wanted to make it as accurate as I could. The palette is exactly 16 colours, nyehehe~ I'm very happy with this one.
I woke up the poor sleeping maid for this~

Day 7: Galactic Park

I wanted to post this so long ago... anyway. This place has slowly made me love it. Something about it is calming in a very simple way. So far I've seen it at morning and night, but not in the afternoon.

Day 6 (eep!) - Faraway Lands

The prompt was a forest with a long road, and although this one doesn't really have a road, it felt like a lovely linear ride. Great ambience as usual. Hope I did it some justice!

This one has a very, very faint smell of dusty curtains.

Feeling really bummed by my own lack of 2kkitober art. I feel like I've spent most of these days sleeping and managing pain. How dare the disability be disabling >:C

Day 5 - Rainy Apartments

I think I've only made it here twice, and it felt like visiting a cherished memory that you can't linger on for too long before it hurts. Very special place.

Smells like rain and the cozy but unfamiliar scent of fresh laundry at someone else's house.

There are some simple pieces of furniture, a computer screen glows on a desk. There's a bunk bed. You can't quite make it out, but someone is sleeping in the top bunk.
