Which like of course- she isn't. There isn't a "real Anis" she is subverting. She is the only Anis. Her feelings are the only real ones. Not some imagined 2 year old whose body she supposedly highjacked.

I know,canonically Anis "doesn't remember." But subtextually I just don't think it would be a big deal if she was a girl in her past life and woke up as a different girl. I think Anis fears that her tomboy personality and attraction to women is something she's imposing onto "real anis" from her past
