Guys! I am finally getting regular use out of my Covid lockdown impulse instrument purchase! Yay! I used it for half a song for a show last summer. Now using it for several songs where violin is needed in a current show.

Bleh. I was feeling better from the cold and sore throat thing I had before Christmas that took a couple weeks. Now that that’s gone I feel like I have a respiratory thing. I suspected something but confirmed after practicing for a few hours today since tech week next week.

I’m at a Starbucks where my knit group used to meet. I haven’t been here in at least 13 years. We were here on election night in 2008 when Barrack Obama got elected. So many memories here. The long table is gone though.

Two instruments and one mouthpiece dropped off for post-concert season regulation, a recorking, and removing a ding. One more concert for me tonight.

I am getting texts and mailers right and left about early voting. The early voting place is 1.5 miles away, a 7 minute drive. My day of polling place is diagonal across the street from my house, a 2 minute walk. I plan on voting but stop hounding me to vote early when voting on the day is so easy.

2. I have a huge moth hanging out by our keurig machine. A moth got in the house last week. We couldn’t get it out. Then we lost it. I saw it the next day and couldn’t get it either. Then it showed up tonight. It’s huge!

1. It’s interesting that people always think I am a teacher or work in a school. I wanted to be a teacher, but funny enough it was too much school for me to go through.

One of our favorites on the Blackstone.. Mediterranean style chicken breast and some kind of veggie. Tonight that veggie was zucchini. Served it with brown rice from the rice cooker.

It just occurred to me after seeing someone post about a vacation that Cape Cod was probably named due to an abundance of cod fish at some point. Indeed. In 1602, it was.

There are some people I still have on FB that I continually snooze. I’ve removed most people like that, but there are a handful or one in particular that I can’t bring myself to. They made a comment on my generic “I voted” post which has since been deleted.

I took a few minutes before my workday got hectic and before walking outside is like walking on the surface of the sun to go vote in the NYC Primary election.
Honestly, it took me more time to get outside clothes on than it did to walk across the street to my polling place, vote, and walk back.
