I think the 2 timezone span will prevent a CA + TX division from happening. Rocky Mountain teams might be grouped with CTZ teams like MN, KC, STL, CHI. CA joins with other PTZ teams and TX goes with other southern teams (NSH, FL, ATL). Reduces TZ spans to +/-1.

Not an excuse, just context. But the man is a New Yorker. A certain level of spiciness is to be expected, especially after a shitty day in the office. As a fellow NY'er, I can recognize this kind of sass or attitude. Not appropriate in a prof. setting, but i offer this to lesson the personal blow.
