Decided that while I might be tracing for line control, I should take the opportunity to try to understand the shapes and joint positions of the subject

Sketched on the original image to find shapes, then added lines based on the sketch without the reference image

I think I'm already showing a lot of improvement on my linework. I'm noticing already that my strokes are a lot more confident and consistent

The goal here is figuring out how to properly weight my lines, gradually figure out shapes, and work on my pen control for those curved shapes
