And while I think there is still room for traditional monster wolves and gross monsters, I'm so bored by that trope. I still haven't seen the last Wolf-Man movie because it's a zombie, not a werewolf, and I don't want to watch another sad story where being a werewolf is a tragedy.

Absolute disagreement, though I understand your feeling. Werewolves should be what the individual storyteller needs them to be. For me, 'elegant' wouldn't be right but 'majestic?' Hell yeah. I want to make werewolves people want to be, even considering the downsides.

It was the same for my movie buddy. We've known so long that this is a problem in media. And I don't think it should be off the table but there are better ways to handle it... or just don't do it.

It wasn't fatal for me but I can't disagree with you. When *that person* was killed, it spoiled the vibe for me. Not the whole movie because I still liked what I was watching. It just wasn't as fun anymore

I wish Caught Stealing had found a better tone balance, but I do think it has a story worth experiencing with lots of twists. Just know it's not the story the ads show. It is NOT a fun romp.

There's a lot of tonal whiplash. There are many times where this movie wants to be the fun crime romp the ads promised. Then it remembers it's a Darren Aronofsky film and oops! No more fun.

But I wish nothing but kindness on their cute pet pigs. The pigs deserve better.

Yeah, it's a weird age gap. Appropriate considering the original source material, Jane Austen's Emma, but only by that measure. And they're not blood relatives so *phew*.
