Macrophages located close to (distant from) specific epithelial cells have a negative (positive) effect on survival. These nearby macrophages are associated with immunosuppression, an observation validated using scRNA-seq data. Notably, this phenomenon occurs in ER+ breast... 4/n

There are cell types that show a positive (or negative) association with response to NAC and a negative (or positive) association with relapse. Macrophages are among these cell types.

And we have interesting results:
1: Response to neoadjuvant chemo and relapse do not align as one might expect. Even within subtypes of breast tumors, traditionally considered more homogeneous, one subset can exhibit a better response rate but worse survival. Respectively, 2/n
