The Bright Sword by Lev Grossman is the best fantasy novel I've read for a long long time. Lots of #TTRPG tropes: quests, adventures, monsters, magic items, powerups, boss fights; but doesn't read like someone's campaign, it has a tightly woven story. Perfect for Pendragon or Mythic Bastionland.
