Great news! Heartsong is up on GameJolt as well! Originally it was meant to test a web version, but it ended up being incredibly buggy. However, the downloadable versions are here now!

Instead of medals, the yokai in Heartsong use Yokai Cards! They're stylish proofs of friendship that took off in Heartsong's timeline of events instead of medals. Makes you wonder how summoning must work.
(They're also more durable than the paper ones --Trust us!)

The inspiration for the blurbs are based on the boxes on the Monster High and Ever After High dolls. These doll lines were sort of "eureka!" moment during the planning phases in figuring out how to tie all the main characters together and a premise that just worked.

On the opposite side, there is the much more reserved and tame Melopomene. She values being a helpful guide to the often hotheaded Jun over spectacle, and being an Onryo of Courage, senses the potential in Jun's clouded heart.

Onryo are relatively weak spirits, much weaker than Yokai and can't inspirit, but don't let that fool you! Their links with emotions have the potential to unlocking a miracle!

Of course we also have the other side to consider, as Airei finds herself befriending Komami. The youngest of her family, she is somewhat looked down upon for not having a twin as most komainu do. She's taken it upon herself to try to become an archivist , to try to find purpose in life.
