Data loving/storing/managing/manipulating geek!

More than five decades as a Type 1 diabetic. Always trying to become a better person.
Be careful what you ask for!

Note that death takes far less effort than adding query folding indicators.

My own “Mes” are forever squabbling.

I’m old enough to realize that I’m going to be living in “the future” for the rest of my life. I’ve adapted my behavior to cope with that realization.

BTW I learned LONG ago that it is relatively easy to make more coffee. At any time. For any reason!

Greetings @bart-anderson68.bsky.social and welcome to Bluesky!

Look closely at how blocks work here, there are tiny but hugely important differences from other social media.

Check recommendations skeet history. That gives insight.

Work to build YOUR network of connections so it works your way!

Have you read Lewis Carrol’s Jaberwocky?

Start with that as a training exercise. It will help you work out personal strategies for converting politician-speak into English.

Oh ye of little faith!

I make whoopsie all the time.

Even while I’m in the midst of adventures!

I wish I was closer to lend you both some support. I know firsthand what that does to you.

Happy happy happy all over you. Under you too…

Heck, happy happy spherically 360 to boot!

Experts can be expensive. Not calling a needed expert is ALWAYS more expensive.

Have you ever tried to clean a watch using a hand grenade?

Watches need to be cleaned.

Hand grenades can be quite useful.

Be sure you understand the problem and the tool.

Good: clean watch
Bad: wrong tool

You need to work with accountants more. It is very, VERY possible to reduce the cost of a $20 drug by 600%.

You as the seller give the buyer the drug, then force them to take $100 of your own money.

This should be obvious to anyone who has taken either Micro-economics, or psylicyben

Oh it’s just simple math.

It isn’t the same thing as dividing by zero, but they are quite similar.

You’ll have to buy one of his books to figure it out though.

I’ve met some doozie users though…

This WEEK???

Try every week. Since 1974. This isn’t new.

COBOL was going to fix everything. It was so much better than BAL (IBM mainframe assembler).

There have been a few zillion attempts to replace COBOL. COBOL deprecated them.

I’ll wait. I’m pretty sure that I won’t live that long.
December 18, 2025 at 5:40 AM
No! A spoiled fur-ball???

Now how on earth did that happen?

I wonder who might be responsible!
December 18, 2025 at 5:36 AM
Exactly!

Er, which one? The clock face or the orchestral suite of data dancing between various systems?

I guess it doesn’t matter much, you have and you love them both!

Wind blows west-to-east.

If you can smell the desperation, that’s bad.

I’m nearly 1500 km due west. I’m not even going to discuss what it means when I could smell the dementia and the desperation.

It is technically possible that some part of the presentation could have either been an actual fact or at least based on a fact.

I’d really been hoping that PBS would do real time fact checking. I would have liked to see if something he presented was real.

Go do drugs first.

Then worry about cleaning gears.

Being off your meds for that long is a recipe for disaster. Take care of yourself!
December 18, 2025 at 3:47 AM
I can imagine that!

The apparent chaos of the clock face is like data moving around between systems. Once you understand what’s happening, it all makes a beautiful dance. Until you understand, it seems like unbridled chaos.

Enjoy. That clock suits you wonderfully!
December 18, 2025 at 3:41 AM
This is the perfect clock for a data person!
December 18, 2025 at 1:21 AM
Your restraint is surprising!
December 18, 2025 at 1:12 AM
I’m betting that once the dog realizes the leash to walkies connection that you’re going to start waking up to leashes draped over your face!
